Niceties

There is quite a bit of the day to go and I've already been able to enjoy

preparing a Family Home Evening lesson, complete with Treasure Hunt, that is sure to please
(Not that Ellie is hard to please. She gets excited just singing "When the Family Gets Together" our weekly opening song)

a lunch time jog to the fountain and then some frozen yogurt with fresh raspberries

both kids asleep at the same time

and a loving note on the shower wall.
Just the thought of Danny arranging Ellie's letters, in the buff, mid shower cracks me up (a little pun intended).
What a sweetheart
.

I could probably find something to complain about if I tried, a lovely talent of mine, but I've decided not to.
And so far it's working out pretty good.

I love my kids.

But I'm not going to lie,
they are kinda crazy.

Crazy now means easy teenagers later, right?

Maybe it will be a gradual process,
cause that's kind of a long time to wait.

Wish me luck!

Chubs

I'm pretty sure 6 month olds are the cutest things on the planet.

Ellie loves dandelions.

When she sees one she just has to grab it.
I remember being the same way.

Last night on a post FHE stroller ride we passed a house with a sea them.
She was very excited.
(I was too.)

Sometimes things just work out.

Ellie is my little girl, filled with all kinds of personality. It's taken me awhile to notice unique things about her personality because I just assumed that is how all kids are. Always wanting to be in on all the action, chattering away about this or that and being willing to do the talking for everyone around her. So of course with her new little brother around, she is constantly giving him hugs, kisses, squishes, whatever it is that he may or may not be wanting at the time.

So today, when she saw me put him in his crib for a nap, she decided she wanted to join in and read him some books. He was wide awake and kind of squirmy and fussy, so I plopped her and a few books in next to him and went about my business. After some noise, and then a few minutes of silence, I hear Ellie say "Wake up Chase, wake up!". Sure enough, she had read him to sleep, (although it must not have been her intent). So I quickly removed her from the crib and enjoyed a sleeping baby. I think they're going to make quite the pair.

Yes, she does the dishes too.

Believe it or not,

I look forward to the days when the sun feels warm and toasty again, and the chill in the air is gone. Then instead of lugging around a big coat, I can just go out and sit in the sun to warm up.

So today when I was shivering after eating some delicious frozen yogurt, I found some good company, sat out in the sun, and watched Ellie play in the water.

We will definitely being doing this again soon.

Hooray for Danny finally being 27!

Happy Birthday Hubba.

I've have a few months to test it out
(being 27 that is),
and I think you'll like it.

Ellie says Happy Birthday too.
This is the only face she'd pose for the camera with.

So smart, funny, good looking, hard working and you make very adorable children. We're lucky to have you around.

Love,
Your happy family
