My Day.

3:00 am Ellie wakes up (crying).

3:01 am Dad wakes up and nudges mom.

3:02 am Mom wakes up (kinda) and gets Ellie, the cup of Kix and drink of milk Ellie can't live without, and starts Nemo.

6:15 am Ellie and mom go for a jog (cause we're still awake).

7:30 am Dad goes to work with breakfast in belly and lunch in hand.

9:15 am Ellie takes a nap. Mom got distracted and didn't.

11:00am Ellie is awake.

2:30pm Ellie is asleep. Mom has plans to nap.

5:00pm Ellie is awake. Oops mom forgot to sleep again.

5:30pm Pilates (always a jump start).

7:45pm Dad puts Ellie to bed. Yeah dad:)

10:00pm Dad goes to bed. Mom goes to bed (almost).

Days like this make me think sleep is a waste of time anyway. I had a good 3 extra hour to get stuff done today. It's usually by day two that I realize there are some wholes in my plan.

We made it.

Yes, that's right.
Ellie and I made it on time to our 9am church this morning
... all by ourselves.

That may not be impressive to some, but it will be to my hubby.

He's usually the Mr. Mom who gets things ready for Ellie, so I can get myself ready, so we can get to church on time...usually. I know, what a guy.

But Danny left early this morning to go to the Randolph Center, a place for people with special needs, to help run their church meetings. Since most of the ward went with, we only had one hour of church, (complete with impromptu speakers from the congregation-ahh!). One hour was a nice little treat for me, still about 45 minutes too long for Ellie.

But... we made it.

Pull up a chair.

We love the little snowman in his little snow globe
(which can be found just before the start of Finding Nemo).

In the short time it takes for Ellie to watch this little man try to get out of his globe, I am able to clean up a mess, fix a snack or just take a moment to myself.
But sometimes I can't help but sit and watch her watching her show (complete with head nods for the good parts, and head shakes for the parts this hopeless little snowman is in big trouble).

Like I said, we love this little guy.

Well I don't normally post things that require, or suggest any type of participation. (I realize I don't get must traffic through my blog.) But my lovely and talented sister Tiffany has informed me that we can now check out her music online. She writes the songs and sings them, all while playing the piano- talents I didn't inherit. So if you're looking for something to do feel free to give them a listen.

Now if she makes it big someday you'll be able to say you listened to her before all her fame. And maybe I'll get a cut if this leads to a record deal :)

A fun visit

A couple of weeks ago my dad and family came to visit.

That would be
Andrew,
Alexsandra
and Elena (not pictured)

We don't get to see them as much as we'd like, but we sure love it when we do.

It was funny to hear my Andrew argue with my dad that he is not an uncle.
But sure enough this darling little 3 year old, and gorgeous 11 year old year old are Ellie's uncle and aunt.

We definitely saw a resemblance between Ellie and Andrew this time. Proof that she did get some of her looks from my side of the family.

I hear it's good to say five nice things for every bad one.

Ellie is darling.
She makes me smile.
She makes random strangers smile.
(Which makes me smile some more.)
She has the cutest chubs out there...and everywhere.
(Again, I am smiling)
We love our little Bella Bella.

But Ellie will never get the good napper award.
I suppose I am to blame.

I know, someday I will look back and wish that I could go back to the days of devoting several hours a day to putting Ellie to sleep for naps and bedtimes.

But that day is not today.

It was a boring afternoon.

Until Ellie went through her closet and picked out a new outfit for the day.

And I must say she did a stunning job.
